Can I use a WHSmith gift card to purchase a lottery ticket?

Hi, I was wondering if I could use a WHSmith gift card to buy a lottery ticket? From WHSmith of course. It seems like the type of purchase that would be restricted (from my point of view anyway) but can’t see anything in the T&C.

If it’s a gift card then someone has already paid the amount that it is worth (unless it was some sort of prize where it would specifically say it has to be spent on books or similar) so anything in the store should be available as it is no different to cash. pondlife
