For specific stores. Such as can I buy something from American Eagle with an American Eagle gift card without a credit card?

If your gift cards have Master Card, Visa or American Express logo on them then you can use your gift cards as credit cards when shopping online.
If your gift cards do not have Master Card,Visa, Amex logo then in that case you cannot use them anywhere other than the websites of the companies that issued the gift card(s).
For example: If you have a Macy’s Gift Card (no Visa, Master card, AMEX) logo then you may only be able to use that card on Macy’s website. Troy M
