Ah good question. I say go ahead and use it…she shouldn’t care what you have in the bank anyways. KAYBAYBAYY
It doesn’t make you look cheap at all! I would be flattered that you were willing to use your Christmas gift on me. lasciloandare
Not at all, use it thats what its for. It was a gift so use it doing something that you want with someone you like. eyesforone
nah, its impressive Tsukasa
That’s not cheap at all! Go for it! lifes_a_stage06
Not at all! It doesn’t matter how you pay for the ticket. You’re still taking the person out on a date. What matters is how nice you are to you date. May
Go get the tickets in advance and remove all doubt. Nameless
i don’t think so…unless they have to pay for their own then yeah it is kinda cheap. huckabee13
Just make it look like a credit card and your good mpleo91
absolutely not. Marc P
i dont think itll make you look cheap. use it. yankees_fan1608
as long as theres enough money on the card. and YOU pay for it. (: i ♥ DD
maybe i wouldn’t be bothered by it though idk
lol well… it depends on the girl, if she’s nice than she’ll understand but if not you have buy one Somebody
I don’t think so , at least your offering to pay. Just use it im sure she wont mind blobbyman100
Eh. You should probably pay with cash this time (for you and her). Use the gift card when you go with close friends or something. So, yes, in my perspective it does look sort of cheap(at least on the first date.) jenn.
use it & don’t worry about what anyone thinks; if they don’t like it then maybe they’d prefer to pay for their half themselves luzbeth
It’s fine! Just because it’s not technically out of your own pocket doesn’t mean you’re cheap. If you don’t want to, just spend your own cash and save the gift card for another time at the theaters. Don’t let them embarrass you just because of that. They’re not worth it if they’re offended by it.
Just my opinoin though.
Hope it helps =) Angel904
Lol money shouldn’t be a factor at all what ever payment you use doesnt matter at all as long as you two have fun that’s all that matters ltikes21
Heck no I wouldn’t care ! If she/he just wanted to be with you nothing matters! Jessica M
use it rsk00l
nope
Sunny Jim
these ladies probably know more about this than i do, but id pay with a 50$ bill. Daniel
No!!!!! Use it…and use the heck out of it!!! Just tell the girl you do have money…but… got for x-mas and you want to use it.I see no problem with that! CaRii
That will not make you look cheap! Its still money but its in a card thats all! Now go out and have a great time on your first date!
Good Luck!
:] hottie
Not at all, go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lynette P
Your date shouldn’t care about that….after all they aren’t paying with anything Brown Sugar
I say use it, just don’t tell her no popcorn or whatever. That might look cheap We are all screwed
I sort of think it’s cheap for the first date. If it was the 2nd or 3rd date, it wouldn’t look so bad. Riddle me this
It shouldn’t. I would go ahead and use it, they shouldn’t care. They might not even notice. Dr. Van Nostrand
Go ahead and use it. I’d maybe drop a comment somewhere about it tho— something about how you got it, and were going to use it to take (brother, best friend, etc), but would much rather spend it on her… She’ll likely give you the ‘awwww…. thanks’ reaction and you’ll score a few points… sweeterica@att.net
That depends on the girl. When a guy uses a gift card or a coupon on a date with me, I always feel like he’s being smart with his money and he isn’t afraid of what I might say about it. That makes me respect him more, because I know I wouldn’t want to spend a huge wad of cash on popcorn and soda and movie tickets. That stuff gets pricey-er by the MINUTE! But I’m one of those low-maintenance girls. I don’t need a lot of money to have an absolutely blast. haha, so I say it’s fine. But if she’s one of those high maintenance girls that’s used to getting diamonds and roses “just because,” she’ll probably think you’re cheap. It all depends on what kind of girl she is. I say go for it. If she actually complains, you’ll at least know not to ask her on date number two, because who wants a spoiled princess for a girlfriend?!?! BYU baby
haha…well it depends on your relationship with that girl….or guy if you’re into that… if you two are in serious “like” then they won’t care cause they are already into you. but if they do think bad of you….ditch them anyway cause they’re stuck-up stupid-heads (PGing my language) Barbara
