How can I redeem a Borders gift card online?

I have this borders gift card from Christmas but I tried redeeming it at borders.com but I can’t find a way to do it,how can I do it?
I did scratch the back of the card,I tried to purchase 2 books but it didn’t let me write the last number of the code.

If you are not sure, go to the web site and email customer service…there may be an area on the back of the card where you have to scratch off a gray bar to reveal the card number…I am not familiar with how they do their gift cards…different vendors have different ways of redeeming them on-line..
If that doesn’t work, call a local Borders and ask them…
