How do i make sure that itunes is charging my gift card and not my credit card?

I have an itunes account and i want to buy an app for my ipod i am afraid it will charge my credit card and not my gift card how do i change my settings so whatever i buy takes the money from my gift card and not my credit card??????!!!!!!! please help me!

If you have redeemed a gift card on itunes then itunes will always automatically take the money off the gift card before your credit card Ben

You need to check that your Itunes giftcard has a balance higher than the price of what you pretend to buy. Then you will be sure money will be taken from there and not your Credit Card.
Your gift certificate balance is displayed in the upper-right corner of the iTunes Store window.
Gift cards are safe if you handle them carefully. They are a great way to save money, you can even shop 1000$ for free!
