Suppose I buy a gift card at a discount from someone on Craigslist…I meet with them, call and verify that the advertised balance is on the card, pay the guy cash and take my card. What’s to stop the guy from writing down the card number and pin before hand, and then make an online purchase with the card number minutes after I buy it? Should I only buy a card that hasn’t been used already and had the pin number revealed?

i have a wet seal gift card and i want to use it online but it’s asking me for the pin number. where is the pin number located on it?

So this morning I thought you could use the iPhone giftcard for iTunes too [You CAN'T people, don't even try!] and when the card number wasn’t working, I wondered if there were other numbers to use under the sealed piece of paper or whatever, so I pulled it off and revealed the pin. WIll they still let me use the gift card even though you can see the pin now? Because that covering paper thing was taped/glued down very well.
