Tom V asked:

I had a gift card from Wendy’s that ended up with no balance after I used it. The girl asked me if I want it back and told me some people do want them back. I don’t have any use for it if it has no balance. What are some resons people would want an expired gift card? Will the majority of people just throw them away with no balance?

expired or emptied? If it’s just empty you can recycle it by putting another balance on it. Baby #1 4/2010

Often times, hard plastic cards like that can be used to open locked doors in most houses. It probably wouldn’t work on any kind of business or public building, but I used to use them as a kid when my brother would lock me out of our room. Warsow7

As the first answerer stated, it would be good to recycle it by reloading it with more $. I also like to give my old ones to my kids so they can use them when they play ’store’. It’s better than them being thrown into the garbage only to pollute the environment. โ
